We Love hide Contest and 24 Hour Streaming

Carrying the flame of one of the most innovative founders of visual kei, Headwax organization are nothing if not creative. Their latest project will utilize the interactive online streaming site, Nico Nico Douga both to host a video submission contest and to stream a 24 hour special program aired on May 2, hide’s memorial date.

The international contest, “We Love hide -I tried it Contest,” began receiving submissions on March 30 with three categories, “I tried to Play Section,” “I tried to Sing Section,” and “We Love hide Section.” Submissions for the contest, i.e your video recording of the the hit “Rocket Dive,” can be uploaded to hidexNico Nico Douga Special Channel until April 27, so don’t miss out! This is your chance to show your skills as a singer or guitarist, or simply to prove your passion for the legend and his music!

The results will be announced during the May 2 24 hour streaming hidexNico Nico douga which will also feature hide’s music, music videos and live footage. Beginning at 7am PDT on May 2, the streaming will run until 7am PDT May 3 and may feature guest appearances.

That’s not all! In order to properly commemorate the guitarist, the video live, “hide FILM ALIVE!! –hide Memorial Day 2012” will be held at Kawasaki Club Citta where rock band, ZEPPET STORE, recently reunited, will pay tribute to their producer hide as live guests. There will be two showings with differing content, the first opening at 1pm and beginning at 2pm, the second opening at 5:30pm and beginning at 6:30pm.
